Task Coach is a free, open-source personal task manager designed for tracking and managing your to-do lists, projects, and time spent on work. It supports hierarchical task structures with unlimited subtasks, making it well-suited for breaking down complex projects into manageable steps.

Unlike simple to-do apps, Task Coach includes effort tracking that lets you log time spent on each task, providing a detailed record of where your hours are going. It also supports due dates, priorities, categories, reminders, and notes, giving you a comprehensive personal productivity system in one lightweight application.

Task Coach saves data locally in its own XML format and can export to HTML, CSV, and iCalendar. It synchronizes with SyncML-compatible devices and has versions for Windows, macOS, Linux, and an iOS companion app.
