Getting started with Bluesofts AccHelper is easy once you download it, and for Vietnamese accountants and office workers, it solves a problem Excel never quite handles on its own: turning raw numbers into written-out words for invoices, payrolls, and financial reports.

Built by Nguyễn Duy Tuân at Bluesofts, this small add-in slots into Excel as a native function library rather than a bulky external app, so it stays fast even with heavy spreadsheets. It’s popular with accountants, bookkeepers, and anyone who regularly types up invoices where a number needs to appear spelled out in Vietnamese or English.

Key Features of Bluesofts AccHelper

  • VND() function reads any number aloud as Vietnamese text, ready for invoices and contracts
  • USD() function does the same in English for international paperwork
  • Handles currency units and sub-units with customizable labels (đồng, xu, dollars, cents, and more)
  • Fixes common font-encoding issues when converting between TCVN3, VNI, and Unicode
  • Compiled as a lightweight native XLL add-in, so it won’t slow Excel down or trigger antivirus false positives
  • Works across Excel 2000 through Excel 365, in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions
