It stores performance metrics in RRD (Round Robin Database) files and generates interactive time-series graphs that visualize system, service, and network performance trends over time.

Instead of seeing only raw numeric values in Nagios check output, PNP4Nagios transforms that data into easy-to-read graphs showing metrics like CPU usage, memory, disk I/O, network throughput, and response times over hours, days, weeks, or months. How to Install

1. Ensure Nagios Core and rrdtool are already installed on your Linux monitoring server.
2. Download the PNP4Nagios tarball from the link below and extract it.
3. Run ./configure && make all && make install to compile and install PNP4Nagios.
4. Configure Nagios to pass performance data to PNP4Nagios by updating nagios.cfg and your command and service templates as per the PNP4Nagios documentation.
5. Restart Nagios and access PNP4Nagios graphs via the performance graph links in the Nagios web interface.
