Ophcrack is a free, open-source Windows password cracker based on rainbow tables that can recover forgotten Windows login passwords without needing to know the original password or reinstall Windows. It uses precomputed rainbow table attacks to crack LM and NTLM password hashes quickly and efficiently.

Ophcrack is available as a bootable LiveCD/USB, allowing you to recover passwords even when you cannot log into Windows at all. Simply boot from the Ophcrack disc or USB drive and it will automatically find Windows accounts and attempt to crack their passwords using the included free tables.

Designed as a legitimate security and recovery tool, Ophcrack is widely used by system administrators and IT technicians to regain access to locked Windows accounts — particularly useful when the account holder has forgotten their password and no reset option is available.

How to Install

1. Click the download button above to get the Ophcrack LiveCD ISO or Windows installer.
2. For LiveCD: burn the ISO to a DVD or write it to a USB drive using Rufus.
3. Boot your computer from the Ophcrack disc or USB drive.
4. Ophcrack will automatically detect Windows partitions and begin cracking passwords.
5. Wait for the results — recovered passwords will be displayed on screen.
